How to reach the catalogue project
We welcome observations, corrections and questions from readers. The most direct way to contact us at r@tiuik.com. Please include as much relevant detail as you can so that your message can be understood and acted on without further correspondence.
Reasons to write
- Metadata corrections — If you notice an incorrect title, author name, publication date, or category placement (for example, a book about beekeeping listed under Farming when it belongs in Livestock), please let us know.
- File or reader problems — If an ebook fails to open, displays garbled text, or is unreadable on your device or browser, tell us which file format you tried (EPUB, PDF, etc.) and what software or hardware you were using.
- Accessibility issues — We aim to make our texts usable by everyone. If you encounter a barrier — missing alt text, poor contrast, or a format that does not work with your assistive technology — we want to hear about it.
- Privacy questions — If you have a concern about how your personal data is handled when you use the catalogue, please write to us.
- Copyright or rights concerns — We strive to offer only works that are in the public domain in the United Kingdom. If you believe a title may not be freely available in your jurisdiction, or if you hold rights to a work and wish to discuss its removal, please include any supporting information.
- General editorial observations — Suggestions for new titles, corrections to our reading notes, or thoughtful comments about the collection are always appreciated.
What to include in your message
To help us respond efficiently, please provide:
- The exact page URL where you found the item or issue.
- The full title of the ebook (e.g., Bee Keeping for Profit. A New System of Bee Management (1891) Third Edition).
- The file format involved, if applicable.
- A description of your device, browser, or reading software.
- A clear statement of the problem you observed.
- Any rights or copyright information you consider relevant.
Messages are checked as part of catalogue maintenance and take each report seriously. Because we are a small independent operation, we cannot guarantee a response within a specific time, but we do our best to acknowledge and address all genuine correspondence.
How we handle your message
When you write to us, your email is read only by the catalogue project. We do not share your contact details or the content of your message with any third party. Your correspondence is used solely to investigate the issue you raise and to improve the catalogue. We may retain your message for reference, but we will not add you to any mailing list or use your address for promotional purposes.
Before you write: a few helpful checks
If you are reporting a technical problem, it can sometimes be resolved by trying a different file format or a different reader application. For example, an EPUB that does not render well in one browser may open correctly in a dedicated ebook reader. If you suspect a copyright issue, please verify the work’s publication date and the copyright laws of your country, as public domain status varies by jurisdiction. Our catalogue notes often include contextual information that may clarify the legal status of a title.
